Alyse Cardello
December 23, 1960 – June 10, 2025
Alyse Cardello, a beloved mother, wife, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025, at 6:44 a.m., surrounded by the love of her family. She was 64 years old.
Born in Newark, New Jersey, on December 23, 1960, to Hilda and Leonard, Alyse grew up with her brother Jeffrey, carrying with her a powerful and ambitious spirit that would shape the course of her life.
In 1998, Alyse met the love of her life, William Cardello. Together, they built a beautiful life rooted in devotion and purpose, raising their four children—Hunter, Sophia, Julianna, and Luchianna—in the family home they shared for over 20 years in Massapequa, New York.
Alyse was the founder and CEO of Awixa Home of LI Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing loving, stable homes for children in need. Guided by the motto “Home is where the heart is,” Alyse poured her entire soul into this mission. Her work was not just a profession—it was her life’s calling and a reflection of the deep love she held for every child she cared for.
Alyse was resilient, intelligent, compassionate, and a true force of nature. She had a deep love for animals, especially her cats and dogs, and a lifelong fondness for the color red and the symbol of hearts—a fitting symbol for a woman whose love and strength touched so many lives.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Awixa Home of LI Inc. to help continue the work Alyse dedicated her life to. Her legacy will live on in every heart she helped to heal, in every child she gave a home, and in the love she so freely gave to the world.
Alyse’s memory will forever be cherished by all who were lucky enough to know and love her.
