Anna Gervasi was born on May 10, 1921 in Brooklyn, New York and passed away peacefully in her home in Massapequa at 103. Anna was married to Paul for 63 years until he passed in 2005. They enjoyed their life in Massapequa and later in life on Marco Island, Florida. She was a spirit of strength and a woman who was lightyears ahead of her time and generation. She volunteered for the Red Cross for 25 years, started and owned many businesses including crocheting hats and scarfs to sell, owning an antique shop and a card store. She became a master bridge player and water aerobics instructor in her eighties. She was a disciple of Jack LaLanne since the 50’s. She is survived by her three children Paul (Catherine) Denise (Dennis, deceased) and Salvatore (Carmella). Six grandchildren Jimmy (Claudia), Danielle, Dennis (Christina), Debbie, Michael (Maria), and Frank (Vanessa). Fourteen great grandchildren Anna, Bella, Caterina, Nicholas, Liliana, Joey, Mia, Elaina, Sofia, Nathaniel, Michael Jr., Alex, John and Sophia and a great great grandchild on the way. She was blessed with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a very special godson.
In lieu of flowers we would greatly appreciate if you can donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as this was dear to her heart.
