Barbara Lillian Koch, 85, a long-time resident of Massapequa, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30th.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Peter, daughters Lisa Koch Capobianco and Laura Koch Baron, son-in-laws Glenn Capobianco and Ken Baron, and grandchildren Justin Dean, Hayley, Jack and Miles, and her cat Chloe.
Barbara had a wonderful circle of friends who raised their children together, enjoyed dine-a-rounds, travel, AAUW, and Womens Club.
Barbara loved to travel. Her journeys started in a pink Cadillac after college, extended throughout the United States (with a special fondness for National Parks), included many trips abroad including Europe, Africa, Scandinavia, Thailand and in her later years, regularly cruised the Caribbean. She loved speaking with others about traveling and actively encouraged others to “see the world”
In lieu of flowers, a donation in memory of Barbara may be made to Blythedale Children’s Hospital, 95 Bradhurst Avenue, Valhalla, NY 10595 or use the link here – https://www.blythedale.org/donate-now
