Barney Gregor, 86, was born in Manhattan, raised in Astoria, and lived in Massapequa for over 50 years. He was the adored husband of Jane, father of Chris and Laura, brother of Robert and cherished grandfather of Carmen. He was a 40+-year member of Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 28. Barney ran a successful business, Ripple’s in Mineola. He loved to fish the beautiful waters of Long Island, Florida and Mexico. Each year he planted his vegetable garden to share with his many neighborhood friends and at the Amityville Club. He was a man of empathy and integrity, community minded, he mentored many and was admired by all. He will be most remembered for his love of life and sense of humor. He was a Legend.
