Bryan J. Greaney Sr., beloved father, grandfather, cherished sibling, and partner, passed away on June 9th, 2024 at the age of 67.

Born on August 22nd, 1956, Bryan was a devoted family man. He is survived by his sisters Maryann and Sharon, and his brother Jay. His legacy of love and warmth lives on through his children, Bryan, Thomas, and Patrick, and his grandchildren, Monroe, Flynn, and Griffin, who will forever cherish the memories they created together.

Bryan was a man who lived his life with passion and dedication. A graduate of Penn State University, he served as a Captain of the Lacrosse team in 1979. Bryan then embarked on his career in the Greaney family’s heating business, then worked as a Steamfitter in Local 638 where he was a 38-year member. He was proud to provide for his family and his success enabled his children, who were always the center of his universe, to grow up with unconditional love and support.

Bryan’s love for sports was passed to his children through many seasons of baseball, basketball, and soccer while they were growing up. His children will forever hold fond memories of family adventures including Sundays at Oak Beach, summers and winters in the Poconos, and vacations to Montauk, all with their late mother Kathleen.

More recently, Bryan enjoyed his retirement in Hilton Head, SC with his partner Maghan and many new friends, including those at the local gym and at the Boys and Girls Club. During this time, Bryan also spent many happy hours on the golf course, continuing his love of the game.

Bryan’s larger-than-life personality and infectious laugh ensured there was never a dull moment in his presence. Bryan’s kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his impact on their lives will never be forgotten.

Rest in peace, Bryan. Your love and legacy will forever be remembered.
