Charles Marino
Charlie was born on February 5th, 1933, to Kate and Tony Marino in Roosevelt, NY. Charlie grew up in Roosevelt but moved to Gainesville, Florida during high school. Charlie played football at Gainesville High and made what would be lifelong friends, which also made him a loyal Florida Gator fan.
Charlie returned to Roosevelt after serving in Okinawa in the Army. It was then that he met his future wife Marion, and they later married in January of 1960. Vicki and Charles then came along.
He became an electrician, eventually owning his own business becoming a Master Electrician. During the early days of his business, he also worked as a projectionist for several summers at the Jones Beach Theater. Charlie was also a 55-year member of the Freeport then the Lynbrook Elks, just like his Father Tony and his Uncle Phil.
He worked hard and played hard! He loved to dance, loved listening to his music and later in life would go to happy hour on Friday nights.
Charlie was predeceased by his wife of over 50 years Marion. He is survived by his daughter Vicki, son-in-law Jimmy, son Charles, daughter-in-law Liliana, and 3 wonderful grandchildren Anthony, Katherine, and John whom he loved very much!
