Claudine Scenna joined her husband John, daughter Gina, and brother Michael in heaven on October 11, 2024. Her daughters Caroline, Claudia and husband Dave, grandchildren Christina and Sean, will carry on her indomitable spirit.
Claudine was born on February 27, 1936 to Rose & Nicholas Andriani in Staten Island NY. After graduating from James Monroe HS she worked as the secretary for the President of Union Carbide in Manhattan. In 1957 she met the love of her life while standing at the waters edge at the beach. They wed in 1958, started a family in Parkchester NY, then built a house in Massapequa to raise their three girls.
Some of our fondest memories: she loved to take a daily walk along the path at Massapequa’s Caroons Lake and watch the swans; making homemade pizza every Friday night; family holidays with her famous sausage bread; dancing with dad in the house and social gatherings; watching every Yankee game and dad telling her to not get so worked up; singing in the St. Rose of Lima choir; spending endless summer days at Tobay beach or Marjorie Post pool!
Her curiosity, passion, love of travel, food, movies, books, history, health and exercise were infectious. She was a fighter until the very end. She never shied away from all the challenges and obstacles life threw at her, and managed to persevere with positivity and grace. She will forever be a guiding light to her family and friends.
