Dennis Joseph Waters, aged 72, died while surrounded by family on September 24, 2024 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. His passing came two days after his 50th wedding anniversary. He is survived by his loving wife, Susan, his three daughters, Deborah Adornato, Dawn Sequeira and Danielle Palmer; his son in laws Dennis Adornato, Keith Sequeira and Billy Palmer. His pride and joy were his 7 grandchildren, Anna, Leah, Sophia, Joseph, Emma, Rocco and Christian.Dennis’ large, loving family includes his siblings and their spouses; his twin sister Jeanne and her husband Al, his sister Nancy and her husband Jerry, his late sister Patty and her husband, Peter, as well as many nieces and nephews.Dennis was born to Mary and Dennis Waters and grew up in Whitestone, NY. He met the love of his life in high school and they married in 1974. Dennis worked for PJM & Sons for over 30 years before retiring in 2013. Dennis and Susan raised their family in College Point, Queens until moving to Massapequa Park in 2019. Here, Dennis spent his retired days washing the car, planting vegetables and sunflowers, cleaning and rearranging his garage and shed and finally, relaxing in the neighbors pool. He enjoyed sitting in the yard with a glass of wine as well as traveling and vacationing with friends and family.
