Edwin “Eddie” Waldeck of Massapequa Park passed away on April 15, 2023.  Eddie was born on December 9th, 1938 in Brooklyn, New York to Charles and Marie Waldeck.  Beloved husband of Vivian. Loving father to his two sons who have predeceased him – David (Theresa) and Charlie (Cathy). He was also the proud step-father to Derek (Sharon) Hoyler.  He was the adored Poppy to Colleen (Michael), Danny and Tyler.  A big highlight of his life was recently becoming a Great Grandfather for the first time to Liliana.  Eddie was a simple man who loved the simple things in life.  Family being the most important.  He will be forever missed by his family and friends.

This Saturday I lost my best friend Ed was like a brother to me. We had good times together at work and play Ed was always making us laugh and made the work day go by so fast. I will just tell you one of his stories he said over the radio at work “He called in to DAwn one morning say he had found a phone from the high school! He told dawn the phone had a name on it and the name was Samsung all who heard laughed this is just one of his stories that made our day go by.
