It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Frank P. Razzagone, devoted husband, father and grandfather. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 2, 1943 to Anthony and Sara Razzagone, Frank spent his early years in Brooklyn until the family moved to Uniondale, NY, where he attended and graduated from Uniondale High School in 1961. Frank enlisted and served honorably in the United States Army, completing Officer Candidate School in 1967, earning the rank of Lieutenant, before being deployed to Vietnam. Due to superior leadership and heroic service, Frank was awarded both the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Upon returning from Vietnam, Frank met the love of his life, Lee Ann, at a family wedding. The couple married shortly after, started their family, and made their lifetime home in Massapequa Park. Frank spent over 40 years working for AT&T and its subsidiaries, starting as a cable splicer and rose the ranks as a telecommunications engineer, achieving Director level. His dedication, knowledge and keen ability to memorize every cable route in the tri state area earned him multiple citations, awards and accolades for his efforts including leading the telecom redesign team for the Statue of Liberty centennial renovations, restoring telecom operations following the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, and restoration of telecommunications services to lower Manhattan following the 9/11 terror attacks.

Despite all of these accomplishments, Frank’s greatest achievements by far were his 5 grandsons, Joseph, Domenick, Vincent, Liam and Colin. He was a devoted, loving, active grandfather who never missed a soccer, lacrosse, baseball or football game. He loved nothing more than spending time with his boys and said many times, it was what he lived for.

Frank is survived by Lee Ann, his wife of 53 years, children Tracie, Loreen and Frank; grandsons Joseph, Domenick, Vincent, Liam and Colin; his brothers Thomas and Peter; and predeceased by his son in law, Bill.

Dearest Francois' I always enjoyed talking to you when you always answered the phone. LOL You filled me in on all things Lee Ann and family and when I finally got to talk with her there was nothing left to say. LOL I will always remember our rhododendron dates you were always knowledgeable about plants of all kinds. I remember when you helped us set up the corner garden in our backyard with railroad ties which is still there. Many other great times, parties, cooking experiences and laughing. You will be missed. Say hi to all the fortunato's in heaven. Now you can cook your way to a wonderful heavenly life. Until we meet again. Love you, Eva and Joe

I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with Frank in the 1990’s and early 2000’s when he managed the OSP for Teleport ( now ATT local network.) He was incredibly knowledgeable and ,hard working . He was a pioneer in the rough and ready non Verizon fiber world. He made a difference.

My dear cousin, I’m so sorry to hear about your passing and for your beautiful family. You were always like a big teddy bear whenever we were together. I have fond memories of our family going to visit your house in Hempstead and having dinner around the table to celebrate a birthday or a holiday. My brother and I would play ball in the the school yard adjacent to your house. To LeeAnn, Traci and Laureen and all your grandchildren, my deepest sympathies and May God welcome you into his home.

Lee Ann and family, I am sorry for your loss. I worked very closely with Frank for many years starting at New York Telephone. He talked of all of you so proudly. He was a great guy and would always help mentor me. He did great work. I have very fond thoughts of everything that we did together. Although I am sad about his passing I have wonderful memories of Frank.
