COPPOLA Genevieve (nee Shaffer) of N. Massapequa on July 16, 2020, at age 87. Beloved wife of the late Felix J. Coppola. Devoted mother of Jeanne (Harry) Flecker, Michael, and Robert. Loving grandmother of Melissa(Joe), Kevin, Brian, Evan, and Bianca. Predeceased by brother John and Marie Shaffer and brotherin-law “Buddy” Mezzullo. Survived by her siblings Catherine Mezzullo, Dorothy and Louie Graziano, and Ed and Carole Shaffer, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was an avid sports fan of the Mets, Giants, and Islanders. Her favorite Met was Mike Piazza. Gen and Phil loved to frequent Broadway shows and attend live concerts over their many years together, from Sinatra at The Paramount to Billy Joel at The Nassau Coliseum. She enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, summers at Lake George, and 40+ years of wonderful memories at Woodloch Pines! Funeral wake will be open to close friends and family on Wednesday, July 22 from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Massapequa Funeral Home South Chapel, 4980 Merrick Rd. Massapequa Park NY 11762. Funeral mass will be held the following morning
at 9:45am Maria Regina Church in Seaford for all to attend. Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton.

My family and I would like to send our condolences from Las Vegas. I grew up with Mike and Rob and had so much love for Mrs. Coppola. A kind and generous woman.

My heart is saddened by the loss of such an amazing woman, mother, grandmother and friend. Gone from our sight but never our hearts. Sending lots of love, light and prayer.

My Grandma, Genevieve Coppola, was very lovable and kind. I would always make her laugh, and she would always make me laugh. Even though we only visit her a few times per year, I made a lot of great memories with her. But now she is with my Poppy, Felix Coppola. She will forever be missed. I love you Grandmama.
