My mother, my best friend , my mentor and best friend. Thank you for accepting 2 am phone calls as I sought out worldly advice from you. You never gave me the answers , but would give me thought provoking questions that enabled me to reason things out! My most vivid picture of you which sums you up when came to one my baseball games while pitching you were in the stands yelling "Hi him Irv, knock him down. ". Yup that was you ma. Let's no forget when I was 11 and used to take the train from the Bronx to Bryant Park in the city to shine shoes. Getting a ticket for shining shoes without a license. You complained to get to the Mayor's office and actually getting to the mayor himself. Your slogan "One day at a time"
Thank you for your guidance and your everlasting love to not only me and my family but all those who spent any time to know you.

I was fortunate enough to spend some quiet time with Helen and listen to her tell me about her son Irving and "what a good boy he was"! She was obviously loved and I feel blessed in having been of some support to her and her son during their end of life journey.
