. I sorry to say i only recently found out about Jeanne's passing. I met her through the Massapequa HS track team on the same teams with her brothers Al and Tommy. She was taken far too soon and I hope her family find solace and comfort in the memories she created with them and the love they have for her and her for them

Despite being of a diminutive stature, Jeanne maintained an oversized presence in the Long Island running community, both as an athlete and a person. As a photojournalist for Islandwide Runner magazine, I took dozens of images of her while running. Through a combination of perfect form and natural athleticism, her every stride offered a textbook example of what defines a highly successful runner. In my mind's eye, I can still see her setting the pace, in cross country, around the track and in road races. I know I speak for her former teammates, coaches and competitors when I say that her spirt will live eternally in out hearts.
