To the family, my sincere condolences for your loss. I just found out about Johnny D's passing, so upsetting. John and I grew up together and were very good friends brought together by his and my favorite sport, Ice hockey. John and I met playing pickup street hockey in the neighborhood and our friendship quickly grew as we found out we both played in ice hockey leagues at Newbridge and Cantiague. John was two grades older than me, but we formed a great friendship and bond through our mutual love for the game. I can't find out the cause of his passing? Although I remember his dad passed very early due to I think heart issues? Can't remember, but I think I was still in 12th grade or 1st yr of NCC when his dad passed. Such a shame, he was a great friend and a very very funny guy. We had a ball dissing on each other and making us both and our friends laugh till we cried. This is disturbing as he was a young man by any scale. RIP my goalie buddy, you are in my thoughts tonight. Sincerely, Michael Motyka

I am heartbroken for the DeMartino family, but I am grateful I got to meet the amazing man whose life we’re celebrating today. Mr. DeMartino always offered an excited attitude and a huge, genuine smile when I would see him at the rinks. He was a consummate reminder of why we were there, and why working in women’s hockey is more than just a job. Seeing the elation on his face as he watched his daughter live out his dream is a hockey anc life memory I will always keep with me. Much love to Dana and the DeMartino family. I will always be here for you <3
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
