We became friends with Joe and Pam at Our Lady of Lourdes church. We were so inspired by Joe’s openness about his sickness and his constant positive outlook. Joe’s ever-present smile and friendly personality made for easy and interesting conversations after Sunday mass. We fell in love with Joe while witnessing how strong, brave and faithful he was during his courageous battle with cancer. As he fought through so much pain and uncertainty, his welcoming smile never faded. We can honestly say that we are better people because of Joe’s example – his unyielding faith was amazing to behold. We have no doubt that he’s with Jesus in heaven. We love you Joe! Our deepest condolences to dear Pam and the entire Falgiano family. Love, Lisa and Alan

Rest in Heavenly Peace dearest Joseph. You fought the good fight with dignity, courage, and unending faith. I remember the day you came home from the hospital. Dear Joe, Heaven received a beautiful angel. I have always been proud when you called me your sister. As your "sister" I am heartbroken. We shared over 45 years of beautiful memories together, along with your mom and dad. I always enjoyed and looked forward to typing your reports on my "new" IBM typewriter when you started as a NYPD Rookie. Our deepest condolences to Pam, Joseph, Peter, Anthony, Meghan and Susan. You will be dearly missed. Please give your mom, dad, Ciccio and Mela a huge hug and kiss from us. Love and Friendship Always, Charlie, Frances, Danielle, Julianne and Alyssa

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Joe, a beloved classmate from St. Ann's grammar school and one of New York City’s finest detectives. Joe's strength, resilience, and unwavering faith left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His dedication to protecting others and his bravery as a detective truly embodied his spirit. Supported by a remarkable family who stood by him through every challenge, Joe showed us the profound power of faith and love. His spirit will forever be a guiding light to those fortunate to have known him. May he rest in peace, embraced by eternal love and light.
