Amazing Dad of Joe and Jen Mulligan, Kimberly and Anthony DiCicco and the Late Timothy Ryan Mulligan. Devoted Grandpa and #1 Fan of Jack, Joseph, Anthony and Allie. Proud Marine Veteran who bravely fought in Vietnam. Member of VFW Post #7763. Retired Captain FDNY Engine 214 / Ladder 111, the “Nut House”. Retired Steamfitter Local #638. I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was the older brother to my best friend Susan and younger sister Nancy. I was in grammar school when I first met Joe at the family home on Oceanview Avenue and always thought of him as "Big Joe Mulligan", tall and handsome and very popular with many friends. My sincere sympathies to Joe's family.

Remember after a particularly busy nite tour, we went to Central Park , got a six pack & sat on a big rock and just talked. A great memory .
