I am so sorry to hear of Joe's passing. He was the older brother to my best friend Susan and younger sister Nancy. I was in grammar school when I first met Joe at the family home on Oceanview Avenue and always thought of him as "Big Joe Mulligan", tall and handsome and very popular with many friends. My sincere sympathies to Joe's family.

Joe was my mutual partner for several years in L-19. Always enjoyed his company. Remember after a particularly busy nite tour, we went to Central Park , got a six pack & sat on a big rock and just talked. A great memory . A good fireman, Brave Marine Combat Vet & most importantly a Good MAN. R.I.P my friend.
