Karl J. LiVigni 75, of Melville NY passed away peacefully on January 23rd, 2023, surrounded by his family after a short but courageous battle with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Karl was predeceased by his wife Barbara, in 2005. They were married for 39 years. He is survived by his son Karl (Diane), daughter Bobbi Colavita (Rich), and his cherished grandchildren Samantha, Julia, Evan, Luke and Logan. He served with the NYC Police Department for 20 years, then returned to school to receive his Masters Degree in Health Education from CW Post in Brookville, NY. He was a dedicated student and proud of this later in life accomplishment. A loving husband, a caring father, a great friend to those in his life, but nothing came close to the joy that came from his grandchildren. Every milestone, every event, every holiday was filled with pride and ear to ear smiles. His example and love will sustain us through this difficult time.

Dear Livigni family:
I am so sorry for your loss. Mr. Livigni was one of many great Little League baseball coaches in our Westbury neighborhood. As teenagers, he welcomed us to use his pool, basketball court, Intellivision game system, and the bottomless M and M jar on the kitchen counter. I will always remember when he got us into the MSG locker room and we saw Patrick Ewing when he played for Georgetown. Above all, he loved his family.
