Lenore D. Reilly, Long Island educator, dies at 94 (12/17/27 – 2/9/22). Lee was born and reared in Baldwin and graduated from Baldwin High School in 1945. She studied at Hofstra University, where she met her future husband, Frank Reilly, before graduating in 1950. Lee and Frank were married in 1952 after which Lee started her first job as a lab technician at the Nassau County Department of Health. She later worked as a bacteriologist at Brunswick Hospital before returning to school at Nassau Community College and receiving a Masters Degree in Nursing where she later became a Professor of Nursing and went on to teach aspiring nurses for over 20 years before retiring in 1990. Lee was a lifelong Long Islander – after growing up in Baldwin, she spent her married life in Massapequa and, afterwards Bay Shore and South Setauket. Lee’s great passion was travel and, in addition to criss-crossing the USA, she managed to visit over a dozen countries and every continent save Antarctica. Lee was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and mentor to her students. She passed away peacefully at home from natural causes. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Jean Gulli; her son, Peter Reilly; her grandchildren, Dana Reilly, Evan Reilly and Parisa Reilly; and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Parks, James Gulli, William Glacken, Gene Hodgens, Joan Walton and Jack Glacken.
