John Brancato left a message on October 21, 2020:
My sister-in-law Lois and I had a special, close 72 year relationship beginning when we played hooky together so she could take me to matinees at the local movie theater in Brooklyn. She developed self-possession as she navigated marriage, motherhood, and becoming the matriarch of an ever expanding family. She managed to weather the vicissitudes of life with a good deal of humor and optimism. Her concern and care for her mother and sisters, her raising five children, her close friendships, and the love of her grand, and great grand children and grand dogs, are the measure of a life well spent. She was proud and comforted by the success of her progeny and the care and respect they accorded her in recent years. As the poets say “It takes life, to love life.” Lois lived her life fully surrounded by by love.
