Louis A. Liguori, aged 79, passed away peacefully at home on October 25, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his parents Dominick and Amelia Liguori. Louis was the devoted husband to Diane, a loving father to his three children Jamie (Richard), Tracey (Brian) and Thomas (Brittany). Louis was adored by his sister Katherine and cherished by his grandchildren Peyton, Kelsey, Brady, Jack, Reese, Remy, Anthony, Sophie, James and Joseph as well as many nieces and nephews. Louis also loved his wonderful aides, Marlene and Moneek, who cared for him for many years. He was a good friend to all who knew him. Louis’ love of singing started on the street corners of Brooklyn and continued when he moved to his homes in Howard Beach and Wantagh. He was an avid singer and vocalist with several different musical groups including The Riffs, Creations, Velvet Riffs, City Lights, The Dedications and The Mystics. He was affectionately known as “Doo Wop Lou” and he performed at various venues across Long Island. His favorite groups were The Flamingos, Dubs and Earls. Louis attended John Adams High School in Queens and went to college at NY Institute of Technology graduating with a degree in Engineering. Later in his career, he continued his education by earning an MBA from Adelphi University. Louis loved doing home improvement projects with his kids, going on vacations, and spending time with family. His favorite place was around any table surrounded by people he loved. He will be missed beyond words.
