As a second grader in Gunther School's first year, I was so impressed by our principal. My admiration and respect only grew over the years. What a profound influence on so many kids over so many years! That's a great and lasting legacy that his family should be proud of.

Mr. Young was such a kind ,caring and respected man. I was a parent at Jacob Gunther school. I was a very young mother when my oldest daughter,Jennifer, entered kindergarten. He always remebered my name & treated me with such respect. In our family we always thought the world of him. Our thoughts & prayers go out to his family. I'm sure he will be sorely missed.

Lyman (Peter) or poppy as us Grand kids would call him. was my grandfather a very special man to me he devoted his time to his family especially us grand children. I will miss him more then words can express i love you Poppy so very much and I know you loved us very deeply! I will never forget you always in my heart rest in peace and play some golf in heaven with your dear friend Joe. I am proud to be your grand daughter you taught me many life lessons I miss you so much already :(
