Born on September 15th, 1936, in Brooklyn, Matilda’s life was a testament to love, dedication, and family. Known affectionately as Millie by her friends and Tilla by her family, she touched countless lives with her warmth and kindness.
Her journey began in Sheepshead Bay on Voorhies Avenue in Brooklyn, where she was raised. She later ventured into the heart of New York City for work at Goodbody & Co, where fate introduced her to the love of her life, John Malast. Millie is now reunited with her beloved John, embraced once more in eternal love. She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories in the hearts of her daughters, Lisa (Wayne) and Tricia (Todd). She is preceded in death by her daughter Ellen, who she now joins in peace.
Her love and wisdom continue to flourish through her grandchildren, Jessica (Justin), Wayne, Krista, and Madison, and her four great-grandchildren, Kailee, Corey, Mia, and Justin. Matilda’s devotion extended to her four sisters and brothers-in-law, Catherine (deceased), Tony, Patricia, Phillip (deceased), Ann (deceased), Tommy (deceased), Carol, and Charlie, with whom Tilla shared countless treasured moments.
