Michael Joseph Montross of Wantagh (formerly of Seaford and East Meadow) passed away on February 14, 2025, at the age of 61. Mike’s passions were family & friends, music, live entertainment/dining and football – in that order.

Mike was a loving son recently predeceased by his father William and survived by his mother Frances Montross of Hernando, FL (formerly of East Meadow). He was the beloved partner and soulmate of 36 years to Jennifer Grego. He had a uniquely special bond with each of his siblings: Billy Montross & wife Sun, Teri LoNigro (and late husband Steve), Sue Hall (and late husband Jim), and Linda Karwowski and husband Paul. He is also survived by treasured sister-in-law Maureen May and husband, Pete.

He leaves behind six adored nephews, five vibrant nieces, as well as three devoted nephews-in-law and his compassionate niece-in-law. While he loved them all equally, he was honored to be godfather to Kelly Rios and Kevin Hall, and namesake of Michelle Karwowski. He will also be remembered by countless friends from childhood and beyond who meant the world to him.

Mike was a true craftsman with nearly 40 years of service in a highly specialized sector of aerospace manufacturing – aluminum dip brazing. He felt strongly that the work of him and his colleagues helps to keep the flying public safer.

Mike will be deeply missed and often remembered by those who held him dear.
