Mildred Evelyn Player was born in 1932 in North Carolina. She was the youngest child of Irby Lee Player and Mae Eloise Clewis Player. She was predeceased by her brother Ivey Player and sister Dorothy Player Crisa, and is survived by two nieces, Doralyn Hewitt of Massapequa, NY and Sandra Buehler of Rocky Point, NC, as well as great niece, Deborah Findlay (Paul) and two great-greats, Chloe Findlay and Preston Findlay. She was a beloved and doting aunt who loved animals, mysteries and crocheting. She worked as an administrative assistant for the American Lung Association and retired in the early 1990’s.
