Nicholas DeMarco, 90, passed away peacefully on May 13, 2025, in Amityille, New York, with his wife Margaret (“Marge”) by his side. Born on March 12, 1935, in New York City, he lived a full and vibrant life marked by devotion to family, a sharp intellect, and an enduring sense of humor.
Nick loved golf, working, and being surrounded by his family. He was known for his analytical mind and for coming out with a funny comment when you least expected it.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife Marge; daughter Margaret (“Peggy”) (DeMarco) Driscoll (Glenn); sons Anthony (“Buddy”) DeMarco (Eileen) and Nicholas DeMarco (Catherine); his brother Anthony DeMarco (Janice); grandchildren Nicholas DeMarco (Gina), Ashley (DeMarco) Dillon (Tim), Joseph DeMarco (Veronica), and Kevin Driscoll (Sarah); great-grandchildren Nicholas and Frankie Rose DeMarco and Hayley and Sean Driscoll; and dozens of family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Carmella DeMarco, as well as his sisters Catherine Derasmo and Marie Flannery.
A visitation will be held on May 15, 2025, from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at Massapequa Funeral Home, 4980 Merrick Road, Massapequa Park. A funeral mass will be held on May 16, 2025, at 10 AM at Saint Rose of Lima — Massapaqua, 2 Bayview Avenue, Massapequa.
