Gillian DaSilva Bernard & Family left a message on January 9, 2021:
My dearest loving grandmother, everything I am is because of you and everything I strive to be is because of you. There was never a time you weren’t there for me, never a time you didn’t know exactly what to say, never a time you were unable to read me, knowing something was wrong. You instilled so many values into this family, teaching us faith, teaching us culture, teaching us to be domesticated yet independent and fiscally responsible, but most of all teaching us to nurture and to love. My best and most dearest friend I’ll never find anyone or anything to fill this void. It’s so hard not to mourn your absence when I think of you in everything I do. You taught me everything I know. I can just be grateful and cherish all the good times we had and the memories we made. In time I know I will find comfort in knowing you’re in a better place smiling down on all of us. Love you my Queen, there will never be another like you.

Orpheo Iyamu left a message on January 1, 2021:
It is with great sadness and great respect to wish the entire family condolences. To the Iyamu family extension, “Mrs. C” and sometimes “Ms. N” or Grandma, was a fabulous mother figure, a wam Grandmother who always cared for all the children and her gardens. Mrs. C brought silent strength and warmth, and as most know, immediate and fair response to any off-track missives -no matter the offender. The Iyamu’s are greatly saddened and will remember Grandma - always.
