John Belzner, Partner and friend left a message on February 19, 2014:
At work, one of Otto's strengths was that he could take the job seriously without taking himself too seriously. He tried to teach me this when I was young, but as with many other things, it was a lesson finally learned with age. We lost touch in recent years but when I remmember the good days of my career, he was a part of many.
Jim Carroll left a message on February 19, 2014:
My deepest sympathy to Helen and family. I was assigned to Otto's service audit team when I transferred to NY in the early 80's. It was indeed a pleasure to work with and for him. Otto was one of the finest and most knowledgeable team leaders I had the privilege to be associated with. Although my assignment in NY was brief (2 years), I have the greatest memories of working with Otto.

Otto and I first met as classmates in basic training. He was always in high spirits and a true joy to know. Be it a game of ping-pong, which he was always ready for, or going to church with him, his company is still a great memory. We crossed paths a few times over the years. He was always that same interesting and enjoyable guy.Peace be with the Krivohlavy Family.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I was a shy southern girl who volunteered to move to New York City with the Inspection Service in 1989. Otto was my Team Leader, educator of how to drive in New York City ( his right turns from the left lane approaching midtown tunnel), and all things about New York City. He also had a great passion for NASCAR! Prayers for comfort to the family.

I had the privilege to receive some of my initial audit training with him when first being assigned to the New York Division in August 1973. His field expertise had a profound effect on the very impressionable inspector that I was. I consider myself a better Inspector for it.
