Richard Oliver, of Massapequa Park, died peacefully with his loving family by his side on January 9, 2023. He was 78 years old.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nellie, his brother Robert Oliver, his children Kimberly Gibel (Greg) and Debra Phelan (Greg), as well as his four loving grandchildren, Andrew, Jacob, Olivia, and Jason. He is predeceased by his parents Gustave and Dorothy Oliver, and his sister Betty Reddin.
Richie was a devoted member of American Legion Post 1066 and the ‘go to’ guy for friends and family in need of appliance repair advice. For the last 13 years, he worked for PC Richard & Son. Richie loved his 4th of July vacations each summer at Central House Family Resort in Beach Lake, PA, and relaxing with an ice cold drink.

I celebrate your life dear brother-in-law.....Ten Things I Like About Richie:
1. He loved his wife faithfully and supported her through two serious illnesses.
2. He loved his daughters, cared for them, and was proud of them.
3. He was a hard worker and a good provider for his family.
4. He was very patriotic and flew his American flag every day.
5. He made the best spaghetti sauce ever.
6. When we came to visit, he always made the foods we liked. (London Broil, clams)
7. He had a super 50's and 60's record collection.
8. He was willing to stand on a dresser to take a picture of his wife and her 5 sisters
because we wanted him to.
9. He loved and supported his grandchildren in their endeavors and was proud of
them..
10. He liked to have fun.
You will be missed Richie, but NEVER forgotten! We are all richer for having had you in our lives.
