John Khantzian left a message on August 31, 2017:
I have worked with Sandy for quite a number of years. To say he was articulate is putting it mildly. A wealth of knowledge that is now gone forever. Sandy had a sense of humor that was magnetic. He was always stepping up to help someone out and with always a friendly Sandy smile. I will say this in closing. Sanford Baach was a Korean War veteran. He was the very first Sky Marshal made in the United States. He served hid country working in the United States Customs Service as an Inspector and later as a Supervisory Customs Inspector .He served from beginning to end with dignity
Ronald McCloskey left a message on August 30, 2017:
I knew Sandy from first grade at Davison Ave. right through high school. Then renewed our acquaintance at several reunions and luncheons. In the past few years we e-mailed and talked some especially when Hurricane Sandy did some damage to his house. Sandy was one of the most mild-mannered, easy to talk to people I have ever met. This is a big loss and I will miss talking to him very much.
Jack Pfeifer left a message on August 30, 2017:
Sandy was a great co-worker and a better person. I worked with him off an on for 25 years beginning with the EXODUS Team in Bldg 80. I learned a lot from him and of course, he was a pioneer within Customs with computers in the 80's. We shared an interest in family history and I recently helped him with some of his research but could not get together with him to compare notes due to his illness. He will surely be missed.
