Stanley (Stan) Krolikowski, 94, of Massapequa Park, NY, passed away in Good Samaritan Hospital, September 12, 2020.
Stan was born in Elmhurst Queens, NY, on September 27, 1925, one of 12 children born to Julia (Serafin) Krolikowski and Andrew Krolikowski. Stan graduated from High School in 1943 and enlisted in the United States Navy to join his four brothers already serving during WW2. He served as a machinist on the aircraft carrier USS Bennington. After his honorable discharge, Stan began his professional career as an engraver but worked the majority of his career at Trans World Airlines (TWA) until retirement.
Stan’s family describe him as a humble, compassionate and loving man with a great sense of humor and a common-sense approach to life. He believed in the Golden Rule, “do unto others as you would have them do unto you” (Matt. 7:12) and he lived his life accordingly. He adored his wife Anne (Warren) Krolikowski whom he has been married to for 63 years. He was an extremely proud father with undeniable love for his children and their families and always looked forward to family gatherings and sharing laughs. Stan’s favorite hobby was watching baseball. He spent years watching his sons and grandsons play, not to mention the countless games played by his beloved NY Mets.
Stan will be missed beyond words. He is survived by his wife, Anne (Warren) Krolikowski, his sister Sofia, his children Stephen, Lisa (von Frank) Darleen (Carrozza) and Andrew Krolikowski, his grandchildren, Andrew, Samantha, Kaitlin, Gregory, Tyler, Thomas, Brett, Nicholas and Bryan, and great granddaughter, Thea.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm & 6:00 pm-8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at Massapequa Funeral Home, 4980 Merrick Road, Massapequa Park, NY. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, Massapequa Park, NY on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 10:30am.
