On Tuesday September 3rd 2024 Susan Broadhurst was welcomed home and her tears were wiped away by Christ her Savior – all pain and suffering are now long gone. She was surrounded with love and the singing of her husband and daughter and lifted up by the many prayers of her friends and family.
Sue was raised in Massapequa, NY and is the middle child of her 5 brothers and sisters.
In March of 1982, Sue and husband Dennis were married – beginning the gift of 42 beautiful years together. He loved her with all his heart, pouring out himself these last few months through her final breath – always by her side to care for her and gently scratch her arm which was her favorite. She is survived by her daughter Victoria Harrelson (husband-Jared).
Susie loved to dance and sing; her joy was radiant as was her smile. She never knew a stranger. Taking trips to Disney with family was one of her favorite things – those fun memories will continue to live on. She loved to see others happy and would not want anyone to feel sad at this time, but to rejoice knowing that she is in the presence of the Lord – in the fullness of His joy and Hope.
“No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No pow’r of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
‘Til He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand..” The Gettys
“And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Revelation 21: 2-4
