The Quinn family sends our deepest sympathy to Eileen and the entire Lloyd family. Our relationship goes back to 1939 when Aunt Peg came over on the boat from Ireland with my mom. They and the Lloyds became friends forever. I will miss Tom and all the departed members of our families. Tom and I had fun together. He was a real mensch.

Tom, we met as fellow students in writing class as we each worked on our first book. Over the years we became much more than that. You were my stock market guru, my mentor, my friend. I tried to absorb as much market knowledge as I possibly could. Now I must sail the turbulent seas of finance on my own, but you will always be in my heart to guide me through. Helene and I are glad we met you.

I have cherished my friendship with Tom since we were locker room mates at Maryknoll's Glen Ellyn college, about 1958. In later years, i have cherished the absolutely positive affirmation that Tom gifted me with about my missionary career and writing. What a special gift he had for making people feel accepted and loved!

Todd & Cindy Breton left a message on February 3, 2025:
We had the privilege to meet Thomas and his precious Eileen 4 ½ years ago. We had a lovely zoom call as we discussed the upcoming wedding of his grandson, Chris with our daughter, Jenny. Thomas was quite charming and our conversation felt like we had known them for years. What a blessing to get to know them. They gave beautiful advice for the newlyweds that I know meant a lot to them. As we get older, our legacy is important. Thomas’s family name and legacy will continue on with the birth of his great-grandson, Henry. Todd and I pray that all his love ones find comfort in their many cherished memories with Thomas. “Do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” Joshua 1:9
