Vita “Viki” Horz, 79, of Massapequa, NY passed away on January 10, 2025 surrounded by family. Viki was born in Staten Island, NY to Frank and Josephine Galletta. Viki is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert (Al) Horz and her sister Jean Datello. She is survived by son, Bryan (Laurie); her grandchildren Julianna and James; her nieces Joanne and Andrea (Danny), her nephew Anthony; and her great-nieces and nephews, Christa (Thomas), Alissa, Rachael, Frank, Anthony, Danny Jr., Jonathan and Mia; her beloved cats Tux and Stormy; and many beloved friends.

Viki was a devoted mother and grandmother. When he was younger, she loved her role as a “baseball mom” for Bryan. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow into young adults. To her nieces, nephew and their children she was more than just an “aunt”. To her friends and all who crossed her path, she was known for her incredible generosity and kindness.

Viki and Al loved to watch tennis, especially the U.S. Open, visits to Atlantic City and attend horse races. She was a fan of the Harry Potter franchise. She was known for her famous “fish gravy” on Christmas Eve. She was a devoted pet lover, most recently the cat mom to siblings Tux and Stormy who gave her great comfort.
