Our dear mother, Zulema Maria Cordero, sadly passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at the age of 81. She was a devoted wife and wonderful mother who was always there when each of her children needed her. When Zulema lost her husband, she immediately went back to college full-time and worked full-time in the evenings as she raised five children. She proudly graduated as a Registered Nurse and worked at Brunswick Hospital in Amityville in the Telemetry Ward for many years before retiring. She was her children’s supermom, who loved her children dearly. Her empathy, compassion, patience, generosity of spirit, sense of humor and love will be sorely missed. May Zulema rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who have known and loved her.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Carlos Enrique II, and her son, Jeffrey, and is survived by her husband, George, her daughter Sylvia, daughter Miriam, her son Carlos III, and daughter Amanda, her granddaughter, Emilia, her grandsons John, Joseph, and William, and her great granddaughter, Elena Maria.
