Charles Florio Jr. moved from Brooklyn, NY to Massapequa in 1970 with his wife Gail (since deceased) and daughter Cynthia. He was a devoted grandfather to Kyra and supported her daily in her everyday life with sports, academics, and future endeavors. Dad/Grandpa Chuck/Uncle Chuck was the master of many activities and a wealth of knowledge about many topics which he imparted to his family members. He loved working with computers and learning the current trends in technology. He was a beloved soccer coach to Cynthia and her friends in their elementary years. Charlie was the family member who dressed up as Santa and always encouraged laughter at family parties. Growing up he instilled the belief of trying a new activity, subject, language, place or food because you never know what the outcome will be! He loved his furry friends: Sparky, Holly, Tinkerbell, Dukie and Sophie. Charlie was the brother-in-law that was first to provide wisdom and be a teller of stories. He supported both his daughter Cynthia and granddaughter Kyra in everything they did and provided guidance to persevere. Dad/Charlie/Grandpa Chuck/Uncle Chuck will be missed! We will always love you!
