Joseph J. Muraca, 75, passed away on July 25. Born in Brooklyn and raised in Merrick, he was Joseph and Rose Muraca’s first child. He graduated from Old Dominion University in Virginia and later entered the army.
After his service, Joseph became a partner in his father’s business. He also had a pilot’s license, a knack for housework, and a love of dogs. He will be remembered for his humorous antics and devotion to his family.
Joseph is survived by his wife Louise, and stepson Sandy, sisters Cynthia and husband Gary, Donna and Michele, nieces Andrea and husband Jason, Cari and husband Steve, and Danielle, as well as great nieces Emma, Ellie, Ava and Everly, and his beloved German Shepard Luca.
