Lorraine R. Johnson

Lorraine R. Johnson (nee Raab), age 87, of North Massapequa, New York and more recently of Menifee, California, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2017.  Beloved wife of the late Donald Russell Johnson.  After retiring in 1989 from Bolar Pharmaceutical in Copiague, New York, she and Don moved to Menifee, California where she lived for 28 years before moving back to New York in September.   She had many good friends in California where she enjoyed golfing and playing cards.  Lorraine was born October 27, 1930 in the Bronx, New York.  She was the daughter of the late John V. Raab and the late Marie Olga Kafka Raab.  She grew up in Flushing, New York & maintained friendships in her adult life with people she was friends with as a young woman.  She married Don in 1951 and moved to North Massapequa, New York in 1956.  She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years and graduated from SUNY Farmingdale with an Associates Degree.  She is survived by her daughter Susan Aitchison and her husband David and her son Donald Russell Johnson and his wife Kelly; grandchildren Donald Johnson and his wife Julia, Bryan Johnson and his wife Shannon, Danielle Klemm and her husband Nick, David Aitchison and his fiancée Agnes Puyraud and Zachary Johnson; great grandchildren Sarah Johnson, Liliana Johnson, Ashlyn Johnson, Avery Klemm, Logan Johnson, and Olivia Klemm; sisters-in-law Joan Mercer of Bucksport, Maine and Jillian Foster of Bangor, Maine.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
