i unfortunately did not know bob for a long time . but the time that i did know him he always would greet you with a big smile and a hello . i used to tease him about hurting the bag while he was working out .he was a very nice man that the world would be not the same with him not in it.My condolence to his family

The Boxing Writers Association of America sends its condolences on the passing of Bob Duffy. Bob was always generous with his time in helping various boxing entities, the BWAA among them. He will be missed by the BWAA and fondly remembered.

Bob Duffy was one of my best friends. His kind words always meant a great deal to me. Bob was a completely unselfish individual who put others above himself. His many charitable deeds were done from the heart and will live on.

I only got to know Bob a few years back in the gym however I feel like I knew him forever. He was on if the kindest people I ever met. He always has a positive attitude about life and a genuine kind person. I will certainly miss him. Rest in peace Bob God bless you

Bob held the torch with honor and strength as NYS Boxing Commissioner. He looked out for all fighters equally and often recognized the achievements and challenges fighters faced inside and outside the ring with warm hearted support. I’m grateful for knowing Bob. He’ll be missed.😢 RIP🙏

So sorry to hear about Bob's passing. We have many fond memories of Bob in his various roles in boxing over the years and considered him as not only a business associate but a friend. He will certainly be missed by all of us at Star Boxing. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his entire family.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Bob was a great guy to spend time with.I’ll never forget our bowling nights once a month! So much fun! Keep all of your good memories close to you and remember them.

Bobby was one helluva guy that always greeted me with a warm smile. He was brother cop and veteran like myself. He was the one that discovered me at a boxing amateur show and felt that I had the goods to become pro. I will truly miss his jokes and sense of humor.
