On April 19, 2019, Rose Sagona, formerly Rose Triolo of Brooklyn, passed away quietly and peacefully. She is survived by her daughter Lynn Martone of Massapequa, NY, husband Pat, and their three children, Victoria, Jenna, and Patrick, as well as two great grandchildren, Ryan and Kylie. Rose is also survived by her son Joseph Sagona of Massapequa Park, NY, his wife Lori, and their two children, Alyssa and Amanda.
Rose lived a long, fulfilling and rewarding life. Her love for her husband Joe was endless, and she loved her family. Her five grandchildren and two great grandchildren brought her so many smiles. Rose was always dressed to impress, and always took great pride in her appearance; hair always perfect, nails always manicured, jewelry always graciously presented. She worked at American Airlines and traveled the world with Joe. They truly exemplified the \”jet set\” life. Almost every weekend was a new adventure. Rose loved to gamble and play cards and almost always won. Florida became their second home for many years. Rose and Joe loved the sun and sea. In later years Rose and Joe move to the Oaks at Broadlawn Manor and met so many wonderful friends there as well as at the Villas in Farmingdale. Their door was always an open invitation. Christmas holidays were always the best. Rose made lasagna for 40 years and for 40 years always questioned how long to cook it and if it turned out good. Rose lived life the way she wanted to. She was tough as nails. She hated green vegetables, loved fried food, worshipped the sun with no sunscreen, rarely drank water, and never ever exercised, but lived to 90.
May she forever live in eternal peace.
