William M Sullivan July 17. 1937-August 28, 2023
Loving Husband of Frances for 59 years, Loving father of Diane Kidd (James) of Wallingford PA, Brian Sullivan of Massapequa NY and Stephen Sullivan of Silver Springs MD, Loving grandfather of Amy and Megan Kidd.
William was proud of his Brooklyn roots and his Irish Heritage. The son of Nora Peyton Sullivan of Roscommon and Patrick J Sullivan of County Carlow. He also proudly served in the US Army. He and Frances moved to Massapequa in 1966 and he was a proud member of the community. He was an active member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion. He gave much of his free time to the community, serving as a Little League coach and often volunteered at Our Lady of Lourdes parish, especially Friday night bingo. Big sports fan especially baseball, a big Brooklyn Dodgers fan until he ultimately switched his allegiance to the Mets when the Dodgers left Brooklyn. He loved to travel, and he and Frances took many trips when he retired.
