Agnes Ann “Aggie” Hillgardner (Wooding), 69, passed away in Arlington, TX on March 4, 2021. Aggie was born in Howard Beach, NY on November 30, 1951 to George and Agnes Wooding and was a long-time resident of Lynbrook, NY and recently Arlington, TX.
Aggie is survived by her son, Rich M. Hillgardner, Jr. and wife, Alice; daughter, Keri Hillgardner-Pedersen and husband, Ryan; grandchildren, Cain Evans and wife, Niki, Courtney Hillgardner, Ryan Hillgardner and Ricky Hillgardner.
Aggie raised two children all on her own and she worked hard as a real estate title closer to provide for her children and made sure they had what they needed. Aggie loved her children and grandchildren (her “life-lights”) and always put them first in her life. She was a great cook and loved to cook for her friends and family, especially during the holidays and special events.
She was diagnosed with melanoma in 2018 and fought hard. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Aggie to the University of Texas Southwestern Simmons Cancer Center for melanoma research and treatment at https://engage.utsouthwestern.edu/donate-now
Memorial Service will be held at Massapequa Funeral Home, Inc., South Chapel, 4980 Merrick Road, Massapequa Park, NY on Saturday, April 3, 2021 from 9-10am. Inurnment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
