Our deepest condolences to Al's family. He always spoke of you fondly, Al and I are fellow Veterans who met over 8 years ago in our Art Therapy Group. He was a dear friend of mine whom I looked upon as a brother and even father figure, especially given that I had lost both. More importantly, he was a great friend with a loving heart. He was a great artist and just a great person in general. He loved talking with myself and fiance Lauren. The last I heard from him was on Dec. 23rd, when he sent Lauren and I a beautiful Christmas message. Lauren and I were on our way to Florida to see my sister, and I kept getting a bad feeling. I sent Al several messages but to no avail. When I got home I tried reaching the building owners but they never responded,. I then had the police do a wellness check. It ripped me apart when they gave me the bad news. I have not been the same since. Not one day has gone by that I haven't cried. Lauren and I will miss him greatly. It's a crushing loss to us both. Please, if anyone from Al's family knows the circumstances surrounding his passing, it would ease our hearts greatly to know. Please contact Lindsay Lederman at The Art Therapy Project at 212 592-2755.
