Alice M. Aquiar journeyed to the other side of the stars on July 3, 2021 at age 81. Alice is survived by her three daughters (Donna, Diana, and Sonya), her six granddaughters (Erika, Brianna, Ciarra, Rebecca, Amanda, and Gabriella), her five great-grandchildren (Ryan, Fallon, Matthew, Ronan, and Alessia), and two of her eight siblings (Esther and Helen). Alice was a true matriarch. She was the keeper of her family’s history and recipes. Alice was completely devoted to her family and adored being around her granddaughters and great-grandchildren. She celebrated the smallest achievements and was always available to discuss television shows or gossip or to try a baked good or new recipe. She was liberal with her opinions and with her love. Alice was feisty and funny until the end. Her passing is a tremendous, devastating loss, and her family takes comfort in knowing that she is at peace and is reunited with her parents, her husband (Robert F. Aquiar), and her siblings. It is their hope that Alice is watching over them all, jelly donut and cup of coffee in hand, still sharing in the moments when she will be missed the most and always aware of how deeply she is loved.
Arrangements are as follows: Visitation at Massapequa Funeral Home North Chapel (July 11, 4-8pm), Funeral Mass at Maria Regina (July 12, 9:45am), and burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park (July 12, 11:15am)
