Brian J. Bartichek, passed away at age 65 on September 15th, 2024 in Massapequa NY. He was born on May 30th, 1959 in Astoria Queens to his late parents Margaret and Joseph Bartichek. He is survived by his two sons, Joseph and Brian, his former spouse Laurie and sister in law Debbie. Predeceased by his brother John Bartichek. Earlier in his life, Brian spent 20+ years at NYMEX as an Operations Manager. He also devoted countless years as a coach for the Massapequa Soccer Club and Massapequa International Little League which he cherished so greatly. We will always carry Brian’s memory in our hearts.

Louise & I were shocked and saddened by the news of Brian's passing as I had just spoke to him on Thursday. He seemed upbeat despite dealing with a few medical issues & determined to deal with them. Our sincere condolences to Joseph, Brian and Laurie.

I was so sad to hear of Brian’s death! I have known the Bartichek family since I was about 2 or 3 years old! All of my life, his mom Peggy was like a 2nd mother to me, and I grew up as a young child with Brian and John and the Eliot Ave crew playing many childhood games …… memories I will always cherish! Though it’s very sad that Brian has passed, it is a beautiful thought that Brian is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved mom and dad and brother John! I’d like to offer my deepest condolence's to Brian’s sons, Brian and Joseph and also to Laurie. 💔🙏🏻

I am very saddened to hear of Brian’s passing We had some great times playing softball for many years on Friday nights with MBF and Sunday mornings with the Eagles We had some pretty good teams Brian was a tough competitor We spoke about a year ago about getting back on the field in the Over 60 league
