Catherine M. Tuohy passed away on April 28, 2020 at 92 years of age.

A resident of Massapequa Park for 56 years until relocating to Dominican Village Assisted Living, Amityville in 2017.

The daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret (Egan) Maguire, she was born in New York City, the eldest of 6 girls. She was employed as an account manager at the United Parcel Service and retired in 1988.

She was the wife of the late John J. Tuohy. They were married for 62 years. She’s survived by her children, John Jr. and his wife Eileen of Ballston Spa, NY, Kathleen and her husband James O’Brien of Bellmore, NY, and Patricia and her husband Michael Lambert of Mansfield, Massachusetts. She was the cherished grandmother to 8 grandchildren, Christopher and Kevin Tuohy, Shannon McDonald (Tuohy), Kate Ruch (Tuohy), Christopher O’Brien, Caitlin Walegir (O’Brien), Sean and Matthew Lambert and 13 great grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.

Due to the extraordinary circumstances created by the current pandemic, services will be held privately. Burial will be held at Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY.
