I had the great pleasure of meeting Colin when he arrived at his first training camp for the U.S. Paralympic Soccer team. At first he was the typical shy teenager but as soon as the exercises began and he stepped out on the pitch, the shyness was gone and his competitive nature took over. No matter if it was a drill, sprints or a game, he gave it everything he had. That smile of his was his trademark. I always looked forward to seeing him or chatting with him on Facebook. I'll miss him and I know that I will not be the only one.

May God bless and keep you at this time of unimaginable sorrow. My heart aches, yet I smile when I think of the delight my parents would share when telling me about (very young) Colin knocking on their front door!

I had the pleasure of being Colin's 4th grade teacher at McKenna Elementary. I recently reconnected with him at Birch Lane where he worked at the Y program. He was a beautiful young boy that turned into an awesome young man. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless.

I hired Colin to work in the BOCES Seaman Neck Middle School summer program for many years. He would be assigned as a one to one teacher aide with a particular student that he worked with very well. This student had difficulty working with others and Colin established a good working relationship with the student that made the student have a successful summer each year. Colin also worked at our school during the year as a substitute teacher aide in different classes. He was respected by the students and the staff and we will all miss him. I am so sorry to learn of his sudden loss. Blessed be his memory!
