Corinne Theresa Christiansen (née Pullan) 96 of Massapequa Park, Long Island, New York passed away peacefully on October 25, 2023 surrounded by family.  Born at home on Bridge Street in Brooklyn, New York on December 29, 1926, the fourth of nine children of Walter and Marion Pullan.  In 1940 her family settled in Baldwin where she graduated with honors from Baldwin High School in 1945. Following graduation she worked at Jones Beach for the summer which was one of her fondest memories. Next was a short stint with the New York Telephone Company before moving on to banking, first in Brooklyn and then with Baldwin National Bank, where she started as a teller and worked her way up to the mortgage department under the bank manager. In 1953 she married her high school sweetheart James O. Christiansen on Valentine’s Day at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in New York City.  They started their family in Baldwin and moved to Massapequa Park in September 1954 as original homeowners in Westwood Village.  Corinne dedicated her time to raising four daughters and enjoyed sewing, entertaining, and the company of lifelong friends made in high school and in the neighborhood.  Together with her husband they formed the 1945 Baldwin High School Alumni Committee and organized numerous reunions and events including an annual gathering at Jones Beach that continues to this day. Corinne was a lifelong learner and completed course work at SUNY Farmingdale.  Corinne and Jim celebrated their 25^th wedding anniversary with a trip to Hawaii which started their love of travel together.  They traveled often to Florida, Maryland and California to visit family and friends. They also toured National Parks out west, cruised down the Mississippi River and adventured in Alaska.  Corinne was devoted to her family, always emphasized the importance of education, and was very proud of her financial acumen.
