My husband, David Levenstein, 60, of Massapequa, NY was called to heaven unexpectedly on June 7, 2023 at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. David was born on October 10, 1962 in Brooklyn, NY, son to Sharon and Alvin Levenstein. As a child, David loved music, movies, skateboarding and making people laugh so much that as an adult he dabbled in stand-up comedy and hosting small radio shows. David was a hard worker having successful careers in catering and financial planning before settling into his passion as radio talk show host and producer for LI News Radio, culminating in his position as General Manager. David is preceded in death by his father, Alvin. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, and his mom, Sharon, and his brothers, Michael (Amy) and Brian. David is also survived by three children, Matthew (Josephine), Holly and Olivia and two stepsons, Kyle and Keith as well as many nieces and nephews. David was definitely a light in everyone’s eyes and is truly going to be missed – – his smile, his sense of humor, his music, enjoying life on his boat, going on vacations and spending quality time with his family made him a very special person.
In lieu of flowers family requests donations be made in David’s name to Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital.

David was a great person. Always had a story to tell me as he got me prepared for my radio show every week. I am saddened to hear of his passing. I hope he is at peace and his family receives strength during this time.

I was a childhood friend and every few years catch up with David. David, Barry G and I had some good times. The easiest way to say this he was JUST ONE OF THE RARE GOOD GUYS. HIS LAUGHTER ABOUT Monty Python and Mel Brooks was infectious. Thoughts and prayers to all affected. Michael, Wendi and I feel for you all. RIP
