Eleanor Finelli, 91 of Massapequa Park, Long Island, New York passed away peacefully on October 26, 2023 surrounded by family. Born in Brooklyn, New York on September 25, 1932, she was the youngest of six children to Angelo and Mary Sabino. In 1957 she married Ralph Richard Finelli and four years later had the first of three sons. They moved to Massapequa Park where they would have two more sons. Eleanor dedicated her time to raising the three boys and enjoyed big band music, dancing, entertaining, and the company of her friends in the neighborhood. Eleanor and Ralph celebrated more than 50 wedding anniversaries and enjoyed travelling together. They traveled often to Florida to visit family and friends and attend the New York Yankees spring training facilities for several weeks each year. Her greatest joy in life was her family.
She is predeceased by her husband Ralph of 57 years, survived by her three sons, Richard Finelli, Robert Finelli, Ralph Richard Finelli, Jr, two beloved daughters-in-law, Jeannine Finelli (Picozzi), Donna Finelli (Novellino), her loving grandchildren Christopher along with his wife Lindsey (Hanley), Zachary, Matthew, Carly, Jennifer, and Sarah. Eleanor was predeceased by siblings Anna, Jean, Vic, Vincenza, and Dolores. She is also survived by her many beloved nieces and nephews.
