So many wonderful memories of your family and ours all throughout our childhood! I can see Betty laughing when Scott would burst through the door and head for "his" chair, laughing as Ernie teased him. My fondest memory: pre-wedding jitters and the bakery won't make a brownie cake. Sulking, I dismiss a cake altogether. Betty put her hand on my arm and said, "How about I bake a tray for the bridal table?" Problem solved! She baked it in a heart shaped tine (of course) with the recipe attached which read: "You're a married woman. You can make your own brownies now!" Her wedding gift: Stuffed rag dolls of the groom, complete with mustache, and the bride with her long brown hair. Treasures!

Mrs Valenze made the BEST chocolate chip cookies on the planet and I was a little girl she’d send extra with Gina to grade school for me cause she knew how much I loved them. I always felt loved by her as if I was one of her own. She had a huge heart and included all of us in it. Bless her. So kind. So gentle. So loving.
